Nespresso Espresso Machine: Nespresso Pixie C60 Espresso Machine with Bonus Aeroccino Plus (Red) Reviews
Captures the European Espresso Taste! (By recombinant)
No really. In my opinion, this machine creates the closest espresso experience that I had when in the Azores, Portugal. I’m blown away that I can’t get good espresso anywhere here in my area in Northern California, but when I received this machine and brewed my first “bica” (solo/single shot espresso), I had found what I was looking for.
Can’t recommend it enough.
Capsules are a tad more expensive than those of a Keurig, and it’s probably better to purchase them directly from Nespresso.com (sorry Amazon!). But it’s totally worth it if you prefer real, European-tasting Espresso over watered-down Caf Americano (or the burnt-to-a-crisp ashy/dirty espresso made in the States).
It also makes a very good Americano-style “lungo” pull too, which is great if you add a little steamed/frothed milk.
No more coffee shops! (By Kelsey Moore)
I love and know my coffee! I used to spend about $5 a day on coffee. I used this same machine when i was in Europe and loved it! i was able to find it at a good price and now dont have to run out for coffee. Great gift to self:)
Nespresso Pixie (By jsum)
This is our 2nd Nespresso machine, purchased for our summer home. Purchased in June 2013, used probably less than 2 dozen times and it’s worthless! – and of course the warranty expired. The water runs out the bottom after the 1st capsule. The on/off switch stopped working altogether – in order to use, have to put a pan under it. Our first machine (CITI) is still working just fine after 3+ years.
I would like to buy the new Nespresso, but after reading the reviews, I will have to pass on it – we like our coffee HOT and that has been the biggest issue.
Bought this unit based on the most excellent reviews.
Only had this for a few days, but here are my initial impressions:
Makes excellent espresso every time with minimal effort.
Fast to heat up and simple to clean
Small and compact so it does not need a lot of counter space.
Nespresso website for ordering capsules is super smooth and easy to use.
The only issue I cannot comment on at this time is longevity but the number of complaints for the Keurig not lasting more than 12 months is what kept me from purchasing that system instead.
